We’re now less than a month away from the first hand-in of year two Interactive Media Production. So far the brief has been largely enjoyable with the practical use and power of php becoming more and more apparent with every set of <? ?> tags. On the theory side of things its been interesting to see many academics’ largely polar views on authorship and creativity with the likes of the French New Wave collective celebrating select directors’ as the sole creative visionary behind cinema; where as philosophers such as Barthes and Foucault proclaim the ‘death of the author’ along with romantic notions of god-given ingenuity.
