This year’s Red Bull Music Academy recently finished in London and some of the highlights have been posted on their website. One of my favourite interview sessions was with Funk and Boogie ambassador, Dam Funk. He speaks about growing up in Pasadena and the sounds that influenced him to this point in his career.
Yea he’s got some old demo on his soundcloud that are amazing, I’ve watched so many over the past week, A Guy Called Gerald, Martyn, Derrick May, Mala, they’re all so interesting. Which ones have you watched?
Oh yeah did you post one on here before ? Yeah they’re are all so good i watched Martyn , Kode 9 , Mala and D bridge. I really liked the Martyn one, he did a show on rinse I think about a week ago it was really good. We should of gone to the brain feeder session at Fabric aswell!!
Yea missed out there all sorts of people were at that. Been listening to so much Rinse recently I was noting loads of tunes Martyn was playing, if only I had the money I’d be buying so much vinyl at the moment
